Almost done: West Ham set to seal Andre Ayew deal

West Ham United are close to the signing of Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew, according to Sky Sports.

The 25-year-old’s contract is up at the end of the current season and he is available on a free transfer.

Despite an initial offer being turned down by the Marseille striker, he is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League and West Ham are thought to have returned with a second and improved offer.

Sky also claim that Marcelo Bielsa remains in the running for the managerial post at West Ham. Bielsa’s reportedly agreed contract extension with Marseille has yet to be made official.

Ayew has no shortage of potential suitors with Newcastle, Tottenham and Everton all having shown an interest in the player.

Ayew would become the club’s second signing following the capture of Birmingham City goalkeeper Darren Randolph.
