Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan says all is well in camp ahead of the Black Stars-Mauritius Africa Cup of Nations qualifier scheduled for the Accra Stadium this Sunday.
The team began preparations last Thursday and are peaking in performance by the day after a close monitoring of their training sessions.
After one of their training programs, Gyan said, ‘All is well in camp. We’re hoping things will continue the way we’re all expecting.
‘We have to put up the best of performances to set the tone for our qualification for the 2017 AFCON. We will take our chances well.’
Conspicuously missing from the Avram Grant roll call was Dede Ayew; but the Baby Jet (as Gyan is affectionately called) has given the assurance that in his stead are equally good players who will rise to the occasion.
‘Yeah Dede will be absent, but we have equally good replacements for the job. Surely we will miss him but we have to sail on.
‘Don’t forget it is our first time in Accra after many years so you should know expectations will certainly be high. But trust me, we have purposed to make the fans happy after the long absence,’ he added.
