U/E: Residents flee as hostile elephant goes on rampage

Residents of Damoglo Logre, a community in the Nabdam district of the Upper East region are fleeing the town after an elephant went on rampage chasing the residents out of their homes.

The ‘hostile’ elephant is also pulling down trees and destroying other structures in the community.

The assemblyman for the area, James Tinga in an interview with Starr News said the wildlife and security officers have been invited to drive out the huge elephant.

‘Unfortunately unlike the two that came the other time and were friendly, this animal is very hostile and has started chasing people around and I am envisaging that it would cause a lot of problems.

‘We want to see how best the security can help other than that it would wound the inhabitants around,’ Mr. Tinga said.
