Tigo Donates Relief Items To Flood And Fire Outbreak Victims

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Company of the Year, Tigo Ghana, has presented emergency relief items to victims affected by the recent flood and fire outbreak that hit Accra, resulting in the loss of lives, property and displacement of hundreds of people.

The assorted items presented to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in Accra included500 pieces of student mattresses, 500 blankets, 500 mats, 50 packs of toiletries and 300 buckets among others.

Making the presentation on Friday, the Chief Executive Officer of Tigo Ghana, Roshi Motman expressed the companyโ€™s sympathies to all those affected by the disaster.

โ€œItโ€™s been heart breaking watching all those images in the media. We are saddened by the tragic loss of lives and destruction of properties. These are very tough times for the country and we want to support NADMO to help care for those affected,โ€ she explained.

Receiving the items, the Deputy National Coordinator at the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Ebenezer Dosu, expressed gratitude to Tigo for the gesture.

โ€œWe are very grateful and overwhelmed with the quantum of donation from Tigo. We want to promisethat these items will go to the affected victims,โ€ he said.
