Aviation Social Center was the place to be as thousands of soccer lovers were thrilled at the 5th edition of the Hitz FM Rep Ur Jersey on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
The event provided a unique platform for listeners of the station and sports enthusiasts to partake in fun games such table tennis, football, basketball and also watch the UEFA Champions League finals.
The Champions League final was between Juventus and Barcelona which was played in Berlin, Germany.
Preceding the final was a football gala between the headline sponsor of the event, Airtel and fans of various football clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea Football Club.
Apart from the sporting activities, patrons were treated to some exciting musical performances. Eazzy, Kontihene, Gasmilla, Big Borax, Flow Kingstone, Iwan and many others took turns to excite fans with their outstanding performances.
Then it was 6:30 pm and attention shifted to the giant screen mounted at the venue to show the much anticipated finals of the Champions League which ended in 3-1 in favour of Barcelona. It was a big win for Barcelona fans at the venue.
The event was emceed by some of Hitz FM’s on air personalities including Doreen Avio, Blakk Rasta, Kwame B, Black I and Mic Gizo. DJs on rotation were Mr Haglah, DJ Laposta, Andy Dosty who treated the people with good music as they danced their hearts out.
The Hitz FM Rep Ur Jersey is an annual event which is aimed at bringing football fans to one venue to socialize and watch the Champion League final.
This year’s event was supported by Airtel Ghana, Pepsi Cola, Kasapreko Silver, Sky Falls mineral water and Eddlit Ventures.
