GPL: Berekum Chelsea earn first away point

Inter Allies were held by the 2011 league champions, Berekum Chelsea as they drew one all on Sunday at the Tema Sports Stadium on match day 16 of the First Capital Plus Premier League.

Sheriff Mohammed scored for Inter Allies, before Latif Salifu leveled for Berekum Chelsea.

The home team who were bent on avenging their first round 1-2 away defeat at Berekum pushed everything upfront and found the back of the net through Sherif Mohammed header from a nice cross in the 31 minute to break the deadlock of the game.

The second half was a more difficult one, but Berekum Chelsea threw more men upfront and just as the game was seemingly heading towards a win for Inter Allies, Latif Salifu rescued his side with an 88 minute equalizer.

This draw is Berekum Chelsea’s first point away, having lost all 7 away games this season

Chelsea are placed 6 on the league log, while Inter Allies are 11 on the league table.
