Anthony Annan’s contract at 1860 Munich has been teriminated

1860 Munich have terminated the contract of Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Reasons for the contract cancelation remains sketchy but it is believed the 28-year-old’s failure to play enough games was a major factor.

Annan only joined the German second tier club earlier this year in a deal which is supposed to run until 2016.

The former Schalke player had played a couple of games for Finish giants HJK prior to his return to Germany to join 1860 Munich.

Annan was hoping to continue with improving fitness with regular games when he first joined the Lions.

The Ghanaian has come through a series of bad injuries in recent years with halted and almost threatened to end his football career.

Annan will now have to look for a new club before the start of the next football season following his release by 1860 Munich.

The former Hearts of Oak midfielder who also played Stabaek and Rosenborg was an integral member of the Black Stars team at the 2010 World Cup where Ghana almost reached the semi finals in South Africa.
