Emmanuel Adebayor in stands to watch Ghana-Togo friendly

Emmanuel Adebayor is in the stands watching Togo take on Ghana in an international friendly having failed to join the side for the game which is currently underway at the Accra sports Stadium.

The Tottenham Hotspurs striker has refused to join the Hawks camp for their preparations towards their opening 2017 AFCON qualifier.

Adebayor’s failure to join the national team camp has infuriated new coach Tom Saintfiet who has questioned the patriotism and discipline of the 31-year-old who us battling domestic issues.

Tottenham released the striker earlier before the end of the season on a compassionate leave to help him resolve his family issues.

But coach Saintfiet doesn’t understand why the striker has since not reported for national team duty.

Adebayor however made an appearance at the Accra Sports Stadium in the company of friends to watch Togo play Ghana in an international friendly on Monday afternoon.

The former Arsenal man’s presence in the VIP section of the stadium excited the local crown in Accra.

It is unclear if Adebayor will be allowed to join the Togo team with some few days left for their opening 2017 AFCON qualifier.
