Barclays supports flood, fire victims with medical supplies

Barclays Bank Ghana Limited has donated medical items worth GHS 50,000 to support last Wednesday’s flood and fire victims.

The items were presented to the 37 Military Hospital by the management of the bank in a short ceremony.

The Managing Director of the bank, Mrs. Patience Akyianu, who presented the items said “we have a humanitarian crisis at hand and as an organization that is focused on helping people prosper, we deem it appropriate to lend a helping hand to our injured brothers and sisters and to complement the work of our health workers”.

Mrs. Akyianu indicated that it is Barclays’ hope that the items will help make the work of the health professionals a lot easier and ultimately help save precious lives.

The Commanding Officer in charge of the 37 Military Hospital, Col. Yeboah-Agyepong, thanked Barclays for their quick response and timely donation, saying that the items were exactly what the hospital needed to treat the injured.

The 37 Military Hospital is one of the major health facilities that took in the injured from the flood and fire incident.
