Airtel dashes airtime to millions


Airtel Ghana, multiple award winning Telecommunication Company, has come to the aid of millions of Ghanaians affected by Wednesday night’s flooding by giving them the opportunity to speak to loved ones and friends for free through an emergency offer christened Airtel Too Much Relief Pack.

The Airtel Too Much Relief Pack, a special one-day offer for Airtel subscribers was designed to assist all Ghanaians to connect to their family and friends to ensure they are safe and it is free of charge. Airtel customers dial the short code *202# and select the Airtel Too Much Relief Pack option.

Lucy Quist, Managing Director of Airtel Ghana said, “Airtel Ghana noted with concern and sadness, the suffering and destruction that has been caused by floods that hit the city of Accra especially. Lives have been lost, businesses destroyed and property washed away.

Lucy Quist also revealed that Airtel Ghana will also be expanding its relief through its internal employee CSR initiatives which will focus primarily on efforts to assist victims affected by the rains.
