Doreen Andoh takes book farm project to Babato; donates books to kids

Host of Joy FM’s Cosmopolitan Mix Doreen Andoh has presented reading books and learning aids to children of Babato, a village on the outskirts of Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The presentation was part of her Book Farm Project initiated several months ago to boost the habit of reading, especially amongst children.

Doreen has been gathering books and learning aids for distribution to children between ages five and 15 who are living in deprived areas in the country.

The radio goddess took advantage of a trip organised by See Ghana, a domestic tourism venture put together by Native Adventures and Joy FM to donate the books to the kids at Babato.

The Chief and elders of the village were very appreciative of the gesture. The elders promised to do well to support the kids and encourage them to read more.

Doreen was very glad to have reached out to the children in Babato. “It felt good giving back to the society,” she said.
