Over confidence: Attobrah bemoans Black Satellites complacency

Ghana U-20 midfielder Asiedu Attobrah says the team was complacent following their 3-0 lead against Argentina in the ongoing World U-20 Championship in New Zealand.

Goals from Benjamin Tetteh and Clifford Aboagye put the African side in command, before Yaw Yeboah’s penalty seemingly sealed the result, though late Giovanni Simeone and Emiliano Buendia goals meant a tense finish, but nothing more.

However, with some nervy moments facing the 2009 U-20 World champions, they held onto their lead to win the game 3-2 to go top of Group B with 4 points.

Attobrah, who played a part in the 5 goal thriller in an exclusive interview with Allsports.com.gh from the team base in New Zealand disclosed that they got swollen headed after they took a 3-goal lead.

‘It was a good game but we go swollen headed after we took a 3 goal lead, we lost concentration and Argentina took advantage to get back into the game which I believe is a good lesson to us in our subsequent games’, he said.

Ghana will play their last group game against Panama on Friday.
