Good bye: Esperance coach De Morais resigns

Portuguese coach Jose Manuel Ferreira De Morais has resigned from his post ahead of their CAF Confederations Cup return leg clash against Hearts of Oak.

De Morais took over in February from coach Khaled Ben Yahya who was shown the door after the team’s poor results in the Tunisian League.

The 49-year-old was one of Jose Mourinho’s assistants at Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Hearts will hope to to overturn a 4-0 deficit from the first leg to progress to the group phase.

He had a previous experience with the Tunisian side as he spent a short spell with Esperence in 2009.
