10 things guys think when they have a crush on a girl

We’ve all been the subject of a guy having a crush on us, but we’re rarely able to second guess what they’re thinking. Guys can be mysterious at times, and never more so whenever they’ve got the hots for us.

As frustrating as it is, you just can’t tell whether his crush is something that will fade as quickly as it came, or whether he’s got it really bad for us.

We know what it’s like when we’ve got a crush. The world can suddenly seem like a weird place and we begin to act ten times more crazy than we normally would. We check their Facebook all the time, we send more texts than we’ve sent in our entire lives and we indulge in those online quizzes to find out if we’re compatible. But are guys like this?

If it’s true that women are from Venus and men are from Mars, understanding what they’re thinking is going to be impossible. Luckily for you, we’ve put together a list of 10 things guys think when they have a crush on a girl, all based on answers given by guys themselves. So to figure out exactly what is going through that cute guy’s mind as he acts all coy around you and asks you out on a date to the cinema, let’s take a look at what they have to say.

1. “I Wonder If She Feels The Same Way”

Aww. This means guys think exactly like we do! It means they’re totally human and have totally human feelings after all! Rather than be all cool and casual about the whole crush thing, men actually do care about what you’re feeling. They want to know whether you have a crush on them too, and if you don’t, they want to know what they could do to make you fancy them.

2. “We Could Be A Great Couple”

Again, this is evidence that men are not from Mars, but are actually from the same planet as we are and think exactly like we do. When they develop a crush, they begin to imagine what a relationship with us would be like. They lie in bed at night, hands behind their head, and look to the stars, picturing you both together.

They even go through the whole process, from meeting your parents (and impressing them), to marrying you! Wow-zers. And you thought you were the only one who pictured yourself in a wedding dress.

3. “She’s Totally Perfect”

Sweet. You’re perfect! Guys – especially younger guys – sometimes fall absolutely head over heels in love with ladies whenever they develop a crush. They worship us, believe we could do no wrong. They ignore our flaws, and will do anything to defend us in front of their buddies.

It’s perhaps a bit unhealthy to worship someone quite like some guys do when they’ve got a crush, but, hey, being adored is pretty cool from time to time, right?

4. “Is That Guy On Facebook Her Boyfriend?”

If he has a crush on you but hasn’t actually asked you out yet, he may well be checking your Facebook every hour to see what you’re up to. It’s not creepy or stalker-ish (not yet anyway), but it’s kinda cute in a way. It just shows that he’s got it bad.

But if he comes across lots of photo’s with you and some guy you know, he’s going to grow paranoid that you’ve already got a boyfriend you’re in love with and going to marry. Even though it’s probably just your brother. Unluckily for your brother, he’s now going to get stalked too.

Crushes, hey? They can send guys crazy.

5. “What Am I Going To Do Wrong This Time?”

Whenever they’ve got a crush, guys just really don’t want to mess things up, especially, when you’ve reciprocated the crush and told them you fancy them too. If they’ve had bad experiences so far, they’re going to worry about this one, day and night. They might even lie in bed, torturing themselves about how they’re going to get on your nerves and blow it.

You’re torturing them and you don’t even know it.

6. “What Did She Mean By That?”

Guys can get incredibly analytical when they’re crushing, just like we sometimes can. They’ll think about the peculiar way you reacted to something they said, or they’ll focus on something you said that was loaded with double meaning. Then, they’ll begin to panic and think it’s a sign you’re not interested in them anymore, or, worse still, you’re annoyed with them.

Even the little incidents that you thought were irrelevant will be replayed in their minds, as they try to convince themselves that “she loves me not. She loves me. She loves me not.”

7. “Should I Text Her?”

To text or not to text…That is the question. If he’s crushing really badly, he’ll be thinking of excuses to send you a text. Even if your last text to him was a one word answer that signalled the end of a particular conversation, he’ll want more of you. So he’ll think about whether now is a good time to text, or whether he should wait another hour.

After all, he doesn’t want to come across as being head over heels in love with you, does he? But you can guarantee, one way or another, that throughout the next hour he’ll be thinking of something to say to you.

8. “She Makes Me Feel So Nervous”

Crushes are so not like twenty years of marriage. Whenever a guy sees you, he goes weak at the knees. His lips tremble and he talks absolute gibberish, because he’s so nervous. Then he feels stupid afterwards.

When he’s been married to you for twenty years, you might get a grunt ‘hello’ in the morning before he zooms off to work. And when he gets home, you’d better have dinner ready, otherwise there’ll be trouble.

Ah, we love crushes.

9. “I Can’t Stop Thinking About Her”

When he tries to work on his math homework, you’re there. When he goes to work, you’re there. When he talks to his friends, you’re there. You’re always there! When he’s crushing on you, he literally can’t stop thinking about you, day and night. He thinks about your smile, your laugh, the way you walk and even the way you talk.

A lot of ladies falsely believe that guys never think about us, but the reality is that, when they’re crushing, they’re literally can’t think of anything else.

10. “Ah, That Was A Great Day!”

As well as not being able to stop thinking about you – because you’re just that awesome and attractive – guys also like to replay moments spent with you in their minds. They might overanalyse things they did wrong, and reflect on whether something they did annoyed you. Or they might just focus on the happier moments, such as when you laughed at all his jokes.

Either way, a guy likes to replay all these moments to both comfort him and reassure him that all is going well between you both. Aww, how sweet, you’re being analysed!
