The outstanding MTN FA Cup Round of 16 matches have been scheduled to be played on Wednesday June 3, the FA Cup Committee has announced.
Three Round of 16 matches were postponed in accordance with Article 13(4) of the GFA General Regulations after Asante Kotoko, Medeama and Ashantigold requested for their matches to be rescheduled for contributing players into the Local Black Stars and the Black Meteors.
Asante Kotoko will host Real Tamale United at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday while Ashantigold play at home against Inter Allies.
And after eliminating Berekum Chelsea from the competition, Division two side Great Astronomers will face Medeama at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
Winners of these ties will advance to the quarterfinals stage of the competition.
￼￼￼ The MTN FA Cup quarter finals match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Tamale Utrecht has been scheduled for Sunday May 31, 2015 at the Tema Stadium.
Tuesday’s live draw which was held in Takoradi saw the Phobians drawn at home against the second tier side from the Northern region.
Hearts of Oak got to this stage of the competition after eliminating Elimina Sharks, Bolga Man City and Afienya City in the Round of 64, 32 and 16 respectively.
Utrecht on the other hand qualified after winning their games against topflight sides Bechem United, BA United and Division two side Starke FC.
In view of the postponement of three Round of 16 matches, the FA Cup Committee has fixed Wednesday June 3, 2015 for these matches to be honoured.
The matches that will be played on Wednesday will see Ashantigold take on Inter Allies, Asante Kotoko against Real Tamale United and Great Astronomers against Medeama.
Also, the winner of the Round of 16 match between Aduana Stars and Istanbul which ended abruptly will be decided after the Disciplinary Committee adjudicates on the matter.
