A police officer abandoned his duty to serve and protect his community while engaging in s*x with a woman. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, The Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputy was fired after he was charged for allegedly having s*x with the woman while on duty. Scoop reports:

The officer did not know the woman, but met earlier in the day after she called 911 for help. 40-year-old Paul Burchfield was charged with one count of official misconduct.

Police said that “Burchfield went to the woman’s home several times that day and engaged in physical and s*xual contact with her. While there, the deputy ignored and delayed calls for service.”

Burchfield was placed on administrative leave, and was subsequently fired from the sheriff’s office. He turned himself in to the Sevier County jail after he was charged. He was released on bail of $5,000.
