The local Black Stars of Ghana were handed their second defeat in three days as they played Zambia in the Plate semifinal of the COSAFA Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
Maxwell Konadu’s side who were beaten by two goals to one against Madagascar on Monday were against blown away by a fantastic first half display from Zambia.
Zambia started the game on a high with Bornwell Mwape scoring the opener in the 25th minute against the Black Stars.
Aaron Katebe volleyed in the second goal for Zambia five minutes later with Nathan Sinkala rounding off the 3-0 lead as both teams went into the interval.
The 3-0 lead proved to be the final score line on the day as both the Black Stars of Ghana and Zambia could not find the back of the net in the second half.
