The return leg was initially billed to come off on Sunday, 7 June 2015 in Accra but the Management of Hearts of Oak led by Managing Director, Gerald Ankrah wrote to the Confederation of Africa Football [CAF] through the Ghana Football Association [GFA] for the new date of the second leg against Esperance.
Gerald Ankrah in an exclusive interview with Allsports.com.gh confirmed that June 6, 2015 will be the date for the second leg tie between his club, Hearts of Oak and Esperance de Tunis.
‘….Yes it is true the date for the second leg tie against Esperance de Tunis is Saturday 6 June, 2015 in Accra,’ he said.
According to the Managing Director of the club the motives behind the new date is to enable the playing body to have enough rest ahead of the second round of games in the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League schedule to kick start on the 7 June, 2015.
‘The second round of the league starts on the 7 June, 2015. Our first match will be against AshGold on the 10 June, 2015, so it is to enable the boys have the necessary rest before Wednesday’s game to avoid the near disaster we had against Djoliba,’ he concluded.
The Phobians will go into the second leg game in Accra seeking to overturn the 4-0 first leg score line against Esperance de Tunis.
