Hearts of Oak midfielder, Emmanuel Hayford says he is elated to return onto the field after a long layoff due to his nagging injury.
‘It’s great feeling to be back after a long injury lay off, and I am happy that I was able to contribute to our qualification to the next stage of the competition,’ he said.
The former Amidaus Professionals middleman suffered a career threatening ankle injury 4 months ago during Hearts of Oak’s week three First Capital Plus Bank Premier League game against Medeama which ended 2-2 at the Essipong sports stadium.
However according to Emmanuel Hayford – ‘it’s been a very difficult time on the sidelines but I’m optimistic that I have fully recovered and ready to help my club march forward in all competition’.
Hayford return from injury some weeks ago and is working on his fitness. He played in Hearts of Oak’s MTN FA Cup quarter final against Afienya city.
