Ghanaian player Albert Adomah was heartbroken at Wembley on Monday afternoon after his Middlesbrough side missed out on English Premier League football for next season.
Middlebrough who were domination in their first play-off home and away games were silenced by Norwich City who did not pass on a chance for a quick return to the Premier League.
Norwich made their mark early on in the final play-off game against Middlesbrough at Wembley scoring twice in three minutes for their win and promotion.
Cameron Jerome capitalized on a defensive blunder from Middlesbrough to put his Norwich side ahead in the 12 minute before Nathan Remond doubled the lead three minutes later.
Adomah and his side struggled to get back into the game but could not find the goals to complete that mission as Norwich made a return to the English Premier League a year after getting relegated.
