Berekum Chelsea have been eliminated from the 2015 MTN FA Cup Competition after losing their Round of 32 match against Second Division side Great Astronomers on Thursday.
The lower tier side won the outstanding match 2-1 at the Robert Mensah Stadium and will now advance to the next stage of the competition.
Great Astronomers will now host face Medeama in the round of 16 stage of the competition.
However, the Ghana Football Association has postponed the round of 16 match which is scheduled to be played at the Robert Mensah Stadium.
The decision to postpone the match is as a result of Medeama’s request for the match to be rescheduled as five of their players are currently on national assignment with the local Black Stars and the Black Meteors.
The GFA therefore granted their request in accordance with Article 13 clause 4 of the GFA General Regulations.
