Stay away from media speculations -Nana Akomea directs party communicators

NPP Communications Director Nana Akomea wants party communicators to refrain from making speculative comments in the media about the tragic death of the party’s Upper East regional chairman.

He is asking his team of communicators to allow the police to finish with their work before any media commentary.

He warns that “speculations can gain prominence” and asked that communicators to wait for directives from the party.

Adam Mahama lost his life Thursday morning following a vicious acid attack on him by two men. One of the men who has been arrested in connection with the murder is brother of National NPP Chairman Paul Afoko.

Nana Akomea described the death as “a major loss to the NPP family”.

He said the Vice- Presidential aspirant of the party Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had been arranging the transfer Adams Mahama from Bolgatanga regional hospital to Korle-Bu Teach hospital when news broke he had passed.

National Youth organiser Sammy Awuku wants links to internal party wranglings to be discarded and the case to be treated as a criminal matter.

He told Joy News that the party is trying to secure the family of the late Adam and the party in the region.

Already, some agitated youth have attacked a vehicle conveying the second regional vice chairman of the party.
