Hearts administrator dismiss reports of planned boycott by players over unpaid wages

Hearts of Oak’s management member Hackman Aidoo has dismissed rumours the players have threatened to boycott the second leg CAF Confederation Cup match against Esperance over unpaid wages.

The Phobians host the Tunisian giants in the return encounter as they chase an almost impossible task in overturning a 4-0 deficit on June 7 in Accra.

There are however rumours that the players are unhappy over delayed payment of their salary and have resolved to boycott the game against Esperance.

But Hackman Aidoo says this is news to him.
“I am surprised by this development because the players have not indicated to me or shown any signs of boycott whatsoever,” the Hearts accountant said.

The Phobians have had an inconsistent season especially in the domestic top flight.

Their only sustained form this season in the CAF Confederation Cup is on the verge of getting shattered.
