Black Satellites: Donsah named in Ghana’s 21-man squad for U-20 World Cup


Italy based Godfred Donsah has been named in Ghana U-20 coach, Sellas Tetteh’s final 21-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Youth Championships in New Zealand.

Per FIFA requirements ahead of the 3-week tournament which kicks off on May 30, Coach Tetteh announced the Black Satellites side that will lift high the Ghana flag the team’s 1-0 defeat to Portugal earlier today.

Donsah who has enjoyed a breakthrough season with Cagliari in the tough Italian Serie A, only got his visa application to New Zealand approved on Tuesday and is expected to join the team later this week.

The squad also includes Granada star Clifford Aboagye who was named the 3rd best player at the same competition two yaers ago as well as Manchester City star, Yaw Yeboah who emerged goal king at the Africa tournament in Senegal in March.

Goalkeepers: Kwame Baah, Lawrence Atti, Seidu Mutawakilu

Defenders: Owusu Bempah, Kingsley Fobi, Jospeh Adjei, Patrick Asma, Emmanuel Ntim.

Midfielders: Godfred Donsah, Kofi Yeboah, Clifford Aboagye, Yaw Yeboah, Osei Barnes, Asiedu Attobrah, David Attanga, Prosper Kasim.
