Transfer Update: Sterling stuns Liverpool as England international wants to leave club

Liverpool player Raheem Sterling has told the Anfield club he wants to leave. The England international who is stalling on a new contract with the Merseyside club told manager Brendan Rodgers he wants to quite but open to a final round of discussion with Liverpool.

The final discussions about the Sterling’s future will give Liverpool a last minute change to save their talented player from joining another club.

The England international has plenty of admirers with English Premier League sides Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United all interested.

Real Madrid  and Bayern Munich have also been reported interested.

Former Manchester United player and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville say the Old Trafford club should use Real Madrid’s interest in signing David De Gea to bring Gareth Bale back to the English Premier League.

Liverpool have shown interest in signing Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko according to the Daily Mail.

Manchester City midfielder James Milner is set to reject a contract extention with the Etihad club to join Arsenal. Liverpool have also been reported interested in the England international.
