Leicester Citys Season Awards: Schlupp grabs double at Leicester Awards night

Jeffrey Schlupp has walked away with a brace of trophies from Leicester City’s end of season awards night.

The 22-year old Ghana international, who came through the club’s youth academy, was named the Young Player of the Year for 2014/15.

Schlupp also landed the Players’ Player of the Year as voted for by his peers after a stellar debut season in the Premier League.

He was named young player of the year, beating off competition from Matty James and Andrej Kramaric, while also picked up the player’s player of the year prize—ahead of Leonardo Ulloa and Jamie Vardy.

Schlupp has been a revelation for the Foxes at left-back, left midfield and left wing-back this term. He has managed four goals this season too, with the last minute FA Cup winner away at Tottenham Hotspur in January being a highlight.

In other awards on the night, Esteban Cambiasso won the Player of the Year as voted for by the fans, David Nugent won Goal of the Year and Ben Chilwell landed the Academy Player of the Year.
