Ashanti NPP Womens Wing Holds Free Breast Cancer Screening

The women’s wing of the opposition New Patriotic Party in the Ashanti Region has initiated a move to organize free breast cancer screening exercise for women in the region.

The exercise forms part of the wing’s outreach programme aimed at sensitizing women on signs and symptoms of breast cancer and the need for affected people to seek early treatment.

The program is initiated by the Regional Women’s organizer, Nana Ama Ampoma.

Speaking in an interview with Angel News, Nana Ampoma said the target group for the exercise was women in the Ashanti Region especially those in rural communities who often do not have easy access to health facilities.

Already, Hundreds of women at Asawase constituency have benefited from the free breast cancer exercise.

Nana Ama Ampoma indicated that areas like Drobonso, Tepa, Ejura including all the constituencies in the Ashanti Region will benefit from the exercise.

She added that the exercise was timely and appropriate considering the untold hardship in the country which has disabled many women of seeking medical diagnosis.

The Ashanti Women’s organizer however emphasized that the NPP is committed to providing the health needs of the ordinary Ghanaian.
