Exclusive: Godfred Donsah issued New Zealand visa

Godfred Donsah has finally had his entry visa to New Zealand issued, paving the way for the teenage midfield sensation to fly to Oceania to join Ghana’s U-20 national team who are rounding up preparations for the 2015 FIFA youth championships.

Donsah is one of new players named by Black Satellites coach, Sellas Tetteh in a provisional 35-man squad that will soon get pruned down to the mandatory 21 for the May 30 to June 20 tournament.

But the 18 year old who has made waves for Cagliari in the tough Italian top flight league this season has not yet crossed over from European for his first international competition due to the ongoing Serie A campaign and also the rigid procedures over issuance of the New Zealand visa.

That is now history after the New Zealand High Commission in London, United Kingdom finally issued the visa clearing Donsah to make the journey to the country down under.

Allsports.com.gh sources close to the player have revealed that he will join Coach Sellas Tetteh’s side later this week as he looks forward to spearheading Ghana’s chase for a second title at this level.

The Black Satellites are housed in Group B where they will face perenial winners, Argentina as well as Panama and Austria at the tournament. Follow @thedonplato
