Hearts of Oak head coach, Herbert Addo has lauded the Esperance team for their in-depth in quality as his charges succumbed to a 4-0 defeat to the North Africa giants in Sunday’s African Confederation Cup first leg tie in Tunis.
Esperance du Tunis on the day outclassed the Phobains as they were the better side, striking four goals past the only Ghanaian club left in this year’s CAF inter-club championships with Hearts of Oak having little to do in the game.
However, Hearts of oak helmsman, the experienced Coach Addo has lauded the quality of Esperance side that taught his side some football lesson in Tunis.
‘The Esperance players have been together, they play as a team and exhibit good technique anytime they are on the ball,’ said Addo in an interview with Joy FM.
‘They capitalized on our mistakes so I thought they were superior than we were so we cannot complain,” he explained.
‘They gave us a good game and it is an experience for our boys because my players are very young and I think they will go far,” Coach Addo continued.
‘Esperance are professionals and we are learning to be professionals so that is the result and we couldn’t do anything about it,’ Herbert Addo affirmed.
