Aspire to inspire: TIS partners Kateous Professionals to aid players

Young talented footballers have been encouraged to combine education with their sport persuasions for their own benefit in future at a one-day soccer clinic held in Tema at the beginning of this month.

Organised by Tema International School in partnership with Kateous Professionals, a sports consultancy firm who educate and manage young footballers, players of Kateous professionals in an exhibition game to showcase their talents on the football field.

Beyond that, authorities of the highly revered school as well the sports consultancy outfit combined to school the aspiring footballers on the essence of taking education seriously whilst still chasing their football dreams.

“When you are talented with football skills, it’s good to pursue a career in the sport because it can bring you all the fame and money we all want in life. But you must also remember that injuries can happen at any time,” an official of Tema International School advised the youngsters.

“That’s why you must continue to take education serious even if your football is going very well. That way, you are assured of something to fall on when your football career is halted by unforeseen circumstances,” he added.

The event which took place on May 1 at the Tema International School brought together very talented footballers most of who are second cycle school students with their entire future ahead of them, as they were reminded by Kateous Professionals CEO, William Katey.

“Most of often many aspiring footballers think the highest education they need is up to second cycle level so once we are done with Senior High School then all focus is on football but my friends it is not so,” Mr. Katey told the young players.

“Remember education has no end and even if you get a top team in the Premier League or who offer you a good contract, it should still not stop you from pursuing your academics. We are here to support you in every way to continue your education to the highest level even when you are still playing professional football,” he added. Follow @thedonplato
