Hearts of Lions at the Kpando sports stadium were held to a pulsating 1-1 draw by Inter Allies in the opening group fixture of the Elite Cup game played on Sunday.
Heart of Lions dominated the early stages of the game but Osman Muntaka upfront for the Kpando based club failed to hit the back of the net with Inter Allies looking vulnerable at the defense.
In the 38 minute, Prince Coffie opened the scoring for Inter Allies as Heart of Lions nearly doubled their lead 2 minutes later, however the away side started picking up the pieces and Yousouff Kabore leveled the scoring for the away side from the spot in the 45 minute mark.
The second half produce a lot of action as both sides tested each other; with Inter Allies looking more comfortable with the play pattern of Heart of Lions and in the 72 minute Inter Allies shot stopper, Osei Kwame stood to the test to save Osman Muntaka spot kick as the score line remains 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes with both sides earning 1 point each.
Else were in Bechem, Bechem United won the bragging rights over Aduana stars, as late in the game a Noah Martey strike won the 3 maximum points for the home side as the Dorma based club got stunned.
