Spanish ties: David De Gea agree personal terms with Real Madrid, reports suggest

Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has reportedly reached an agreement with Spanish club Real Madrid for a summer transfer move.

The 24-year-old is believed to have signed a deal worth over £3.6 million a year with the Spanish club and will not extend his contract at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has braced himself for the possible departure of the Spain international revealing the Manchester club have a list of goalkeepers to replace him.

Louis van Gaal said:
‘We have a list of goalkeepers who can replace him because we have to be organised also.

‘We want him [De Gea] to stay, so hopefully he shall sign. I don’t know if we can offer him everything Real can, because I cannot speak for Real Madrid.

‘We have three parties here and most important party is always the player. We want him to sign but he has to sign, and he has to want to stay here at Manchester United.

‘I don’t know why he has not made the decision. I cannot say what he is saying to me.’
