The Senate has expressed shock over the sudden death of Senator Ahmed Zanna.
In a statement announcing his death, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, said Zanna died in Abuja in the early hours of Saturday.
Senate, according to Abaribe, was shocked over the death of Senator Zanna especially as the 7th Senate was about winding down its session.
The Senate said Zanna would be remembered for his love of his state, particularly the people of Borno Central senatorial district, who he represented until his demise.
“The Senate will surely miss his painstaking approach to committee work and care for legislative details in terms of bills and motions
“Senate consoles the family, Borno Central district and the government and people of Borno State”, Abaribe said.
Zanna is the fifth senator that has died in the 7th Senate after Senators Gyang Dalyop Datong, Pius Ewheriodo, Awaisu Kuta and Uche Chukwumerije.
