Accra, May 16, GNA – The College of Humanities defeated College of Health Sciences 4-2 on penalties to win this year’s University of Ghana Staff Inter-Departmental Games played at Legon on Friday.
It was the champions who piled up pressure from the beginning of the game but could not find the net till half time.
Both teams however, redoubled their efforts but tried as they did, they could not find the net.
In the Table Tennis encounter, College of Health Sciences beat College of Agriculture 3-2 while College of Basic & Applied Sciences won the Volleyball segment by beating Security Service 3-0.
Security Service however, managed to win the Tug-Of War by beating College of Health Sciences 1-0.
Dr Bella Bello Bitugu, Director of Sports, University of Ghana who presented the trophy to Skipper Gabby Geker of Humanities, commended the players for the sportsmanship exhibited throughout.
