Albert Adomah’s Middlesbrough will face Norwich City in the finals of the English Championship playoff in May 25 in Wembley.
Aitor Karanka’s side booked their place in the finals with a 3-0 win over Brentford on Friday in a game Adomah scored to finish the tie with a 5-1 aggregate scoreline.
Boro will now be facing Norwich after they thrashed Ipswich Town 3-1 on Saturday for a place in the English Premiership next season.
This presents a unique opportunity for the Ghanaian winger to play in the English top flight for the first time having spent his entire club career in the lower tier leagues.
