Atalanta striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom is also named on the four-man shortlist.
The award is being organized by Italy-based Ghanaian journalist Akavani Abassinga Andrews.

Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, who has spent the majority of the season on the sidelined due to injury, made it into the national Team player of the year nominees.
Cagliari whiz kid Godfred Donsah faces four other youngsters for the Discovery of the Year Award.
The winners for the various categories will be decided by a voting process by selected Ghanaian journalists and coaches from May 15- June 15.
