This week’s edition of Autograph on Joy Prime, features an artist who in the past used to be one of Ghana’s famous contemporary highlife musician.
Nathaniel Attoh will host Ofori Amponsah and he will shed more light on who he is now and what he used to be.
Ofori Amponsah, who started writing music at age thirteen, is arguably the most famous contemporary highlife artist in Ghana.
He was introduced into the music industry by Daddy Lumba but became a pastor few years ago and currently runs his church from his residence in Accra.
Before becoming born again, he had visions about people in his congregation at Tesano Baptist Church. In one of his visions, the death of ex-Nigeria Head of State Sani Abacha was revealed to him two weeks prior to his death.
The vision according to him came during a prayer session at church.
With a different perspective about Christianity, Ofori Amponsah said the type of music he did before becoming born again was not worldly.
According to him, singing about love between a man and a woman is rightly approved by God, and is not wrong.
Ofori Amponsah has been out of the music industry for a while now, but says he wants to give something great to his fans and will be making a comeback.
