Italy return? Lazio offer KP Boateng €2.2m deal

Lazio are reportedly set to make a move for suspended Schalke 04 midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng this summer.

The Ghana international was suspended indefinitely by the German club along with teammate Sidney Sam on Monday and the Aquile could be interested in rescuing him.

The Corriere della Sera and Tuttosport report that Lazio director Igli Tare has launched a second bid for the exiled former Milan man, after the capital club failed to land him in 2010.

The Biancoceleste have apparently offered a four-year contract worth €2.2m per season plus bonuses to tempt the 28-year-old.

Schalke are believed to be demanding €6m for the player, as his contract runs until the summer of 2016, but a loan deal could be agreed.

Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Tare is also interested in Werder Bremen’s Italian defender Luca Caldirola, who looks set to leave the German side this summer.

The 24-year-old is a former Azzurri Under-21 captain and has been in Germany for two seasons since signing from Inter in 2013.
