Trabzonspor are reportedly considering putting Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris up for a swap deal with Lekhwiya for Youssef Msakni.
Waris, 23, has struggled to regain his form since joining the Turkish club at the start of the season.
The former Swedish league top scorer has suffered from a series of injuries – limiting his first team opportunities to just 14 appearances this season.
Trabzonspor are now looking to cut their losses on the Ghana striker by offering him to Lekhwiya in a swap deal for Tunisian playmaker Youssef Msakni.
Initial talks is said to have taken place over the move which will swing full blown in the summer.
Waris continues to struggle in regaining his hot form which made him the toast of Europe early last year.
He was even at a point liked to a move to English giants Manchester United.
