Greece bound: Panathinaikos in talks with Michael Essien

A move to Greece could be on for departing AC Milan midfielder Michael Essien.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid ace will be allowed to come off contract at Milan next month.

Essien has been linked with a return to England, where Watford are keen.

However, Panathinaikos are in contact with the Ghanaian’s management about a summer switch.

The Greek giants want Essien in place for their Champions League qualifiers next season.
