The President of the Ghana National Supporters Union GHANSU, Abraham Boakye, says his outfit will soon launch a supporters’ football league for local supporters union and their counterparts from Nigeria.

This, he said, would further unite the various supporters unions on the continent for a common cause.

According to him, the invitation will come into fruition in the coming months.

He disclosed this, when he led members of GHANSU in a massive cleanup exercise to mark the National Sanitation Day at the Winners Chapel Ghana in Accra on May 2.

A sizeable number of GHANSU members cleaned the church auditorium and compound, removed cobwebs from the ceiling, desilted gutters, weeded the surrounding and cleaned the washrooms.

Mr. Boakye popularly known as “One Man Supporter” noted that Winners Chapel Ghana had been the back bone of GHANSU with respect to offering their facilities for its use.

He expressed gratitude to the church, of which he is a founding member, for its support over the years.

An elder of the church Owoahene Sarpong, expressed gratitude to GHANSU for the clean-up exercise and charged the union to not limit it to the church.
