Northern Students Union of the UPSA chapter over the week honoured the minister of Roads and Highways cum MP for Tamale Central for the developmental initiatives that he has sanctioned in the constituency, the North and the nation at large.
The occasion which was organised to mark the unveiling of new leaders to steer the affairs of the union had in attendance a pool of prominent dignitaries from the North, in attendace were Dr. Mustapha, director of Academic affair of the UPSA, Mr. Daniel Bukari, registrar of the University of Professional Studies, Mr. Hamza Suhuyini, a member of the road fund board, Hon. Ibrahim Dei, Mp for Salaga North.
Delivering a speech on behalf of the Minister, Mr. Sayibu Hamza Suhuyini, an aide to the minister and a member of the road fund board apologised to the students for the inability of the minister to honor the occasion in person due to equally pressing official emgagements.
Mr. Suhuyini thanked H.E John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Inusah Fuseini for giving him and the youth the chance to contribute to the development of the nation, he further called on the students to be hardworking and to stay committed to their books since that remains the most singular important reason for their existence in the institution and called on the youth to strive to make the north a better place since no stranger can ever develop the place for the indigens.
‘The way you dress determines how you should be addressed’ it is therefore very important that we brand ourselves and the North in a positive light to the entire nation and the world at large’ Mr. Suhuyini added.
