Schalke 04 coach Roberto Di Matteo must choose between Kevin-Prince Boateng and Max Meyer for Sunday’s crucial league match against FC Cologne.

The Royal Blues need re-enforcement in attack with striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar suspended for card accumulation and right winger Jefferson Farfan is likely to miss the tie due to a thigh problem.

Boateng came off the bench to provide an assist in their 3-2 home win over Stuttgart to revive their Europa League hopes after falling out of favour with the head coach.

He proved to be influential and game changer.
Youngster Meyer is regarded as one for the future and could be deployed by Di Matteo.
