Highlife great, Paapa Yankson and gospel music group No Tribe are among some selected artistes billed to perform at this year’s Jandel’s ‘Superwoman’.
The ‘Superwoman’, an annual mother’s day event by Jandel, celebrates women who are contributing amazingly to society.
This year’s event, scheduled for Event Haven on Sunday – Mother’s Day- will take the form of a lunch setup with music and other performances.
This year, Highlife great, Paapa Yankson and gospel music group, No Tribe will thrill patrons to good music while poetry will be provided by Chief Moomen.
Some selected women who are contributing and working tirelessly not only to develop their immediate family/society but the nation as a whole will be awarded at the event.
Some of the awardees for the 2015 edition include Madam Gifty Anti (founder of Girl In Need Foundation and host of Standpoint), Mrs Hajia Salma Salifu (CEO of Dignity DPRT Limited), and Miro Hitti (CEO of Duraplast), Mrs. Cato (An Educationist).
Last year, Rev Mrs. Gifty Lamptey (a business mogul), Mrs. Edith Ellen Awuah Darko (the pillar of family behind vanguard group and the founder of JEAD foundation), Kalsoume Sinare (celebrated actress and warm hearted philanthropist), and Joyce Ababio (fashion entrepreneur) were awarded for their enterprise.
“We believe women are doing wonderful and awesome things in this country and as such, need to be celebrated. Thus, we are inviting all and sundry to come with their superwoman and celebrate them in a grand style, whiles we all have lunch together and are serenaded by our wonderful artistes, giving them an amazing time of their lives,” organisers said in a statement.
