MVP show: Okrah scores and assists 2 goals to send Al Merreikh top


Okrah scored again for Al Merreikh last night in an MVP performance in their comprehensive 5-0 win over Al Ahli Wad Medani in the Sudani Premier League.

Aside finding the net himself, Okrah also provided two assists in the huge victory which took Merreikh top of Sudan’s top football division, level on points with Al Hilal. Both sides are in the money zone of the CAF Champions League.

Okrah who is returning to full fitness after the 6 months injury layoff last season, played 90mins and put up an MVP performance to power Al Merreikh to the three crucial points.

Okrah scored the third of Al Merreikh’s five goals in the 27th minute after the Ghanaian striker had provided assist for first and second goals of the day.

‘It was a great victory for the team and I’m very happy with my performance too. I scored a goal and assisted two,’ Okrah told Goal.com.

‘There are a lot of games to be played, both in the local league and Caf Champions League but I believe we can make it to the top in all of those competitions,’ he added.

The former Bechem United goal poacher has now scored 3 and provided 5 assists in 10 matches. Follow @thedonplato
