Senate Presidency Must Remain In North Central – Kwara APC

Bukola SarakiThe Kwara State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday pleaded with the national leadership of the party to keep faith with the zoning arrangement, which ceded the position of the Senate President to the North-Central geo-political zone.

This formed part of the resolutions of the state working committee of the party at the end of its meeting in Ilorin, the capital.

The party also organized a special prayer session to seek divine intervention for the aspiration of its leader, Dr. Bukola Saraki, to become the Senate President in the 8th Senate.

The Kwara APC insisted that the number three position in the country should remain in the North-Central in the interest of fairness, justice and equity.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting of its central working committee, the APC noted that the zone deserved to produce the next Senate President having voted 100 per cent for the party in the just concluded general elections.

The CWC expressed its gratitude to members of the National Working Committee of the party (NWC) for deeming it fit to zone the exalted position to the North-Central zone.
