Rugby Players With Missing Teeth Implanted With Beer Bottle Openers As Replacements

An Argentinian beer company has recently given three rugby players who had lost their teeth in action bottle opener implants that lets them bite the cap off beer bottles. OddityCentral reports:

Salta Beer teamed up with advertising agency Ogilvy to create one of the most original advertising campaigns in history. “We decided to give rugby players back the teeth they had lost in battle,” Salta Beer explained. “But we weren’t going to give them a simple tooth back, we developed a unique dental implant; a specially designed tooth to open beer.” At first, everyone thought it would be difficult to find players willing to get bottle opener implants, but as soon as they posted the offer, they were flooded with requests.

The newest Salta Beer commercial features dental surgeon Dr. Sebastian Juri performing the implants on three selected rugby players, and the main protagonists using their new teeth to pop open beer bottles for themselves and their friends. “We are incorporating a unique innovation here,” Dr. Juri said. “A new functionality is added to the chewing function of the premolars: the beer opener. Our piece is ready as a tooth implant, and the patient can also use it as a bottle opener.”
