There was no time to wallow in a disappointing goalles drawn game with Cologne for Augsburg’s Abdul Baba Rahman, as he visited a sick Augsburg fan who is suffering from leukemia.
The young fan, Maximilian, has been dreaming of meeting his favourite Augsburg player Rahman.
And on Wednesday, the Ghana international paid a surprise visit to the young fan in hospital. Rahman was pictured signing autograph and posing with the sick fan and his parents.
‘What do you think we win the weekend at Bayern?’ asked the little joy. ‘I hope so, we will give our all,’ Baba made him laugh hoping for a derby win in Munich.
After a one-hour visit and a nice conversation in which it was almost exclusively on football, Baba handed a gift to Maximilian: An original worn jersey, which he signed on his bed.
Rahman has made 28 appearances in the Bundesliga for Augsburg so far this season, fully establishing himself at the club.
His exploits has caught the eyes of English duo Chelsea and Manchester United who are battling for his services.
