KKD Begs For Forgiveness

ACE BROADCASTER, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah aka KKD, has promised he would not be seeking revenge against anyone following his ordeal in his controversial rape scandal, and has asked for forgiveness.

According to the showbiz icon who was accused of raping Ewuraffe Orleans-Thompson, a 19-year-old student, ‘Not too long ago I was a suspect but now I am a prospect. It’s not my desire to seek retaliation or revenge. I won’t even get mad but pray to God to help me go ahead in life.’

KKD was on the verge of being tried when the Attorney General suddenly backed down, leading to his discharge on grounds of lack of cooperation from the victim and her family. However, the Attorney General has served notice that the case may resurface if she gets the green light from the victim and her family.

He said he doesn’t feel like telling his story after the situation he had gone through, but it had rather made him wise and strong as a person.

He thanked each and every one who supported him, especially friends in the law profession and pastors, stating that ‘Many of you didn’t know I was held in cells for 19 days without trial; but whatever people plan against you, it won’t go anywhere if you trust in God โ€“ no matter the trial in life.’

KKD made these statements when he went to the Christ Foundation Family Church at Sakumono near Tema, yesterday to thank God for fighting his cause for him in the rape case that nearly destroyed his life.

He was accompanied by his family, friends and sympathizers.

Communion
The showbiz man took communion to make a covenant with God in holiness before special prayers were said for him, family and friends.

Earlier, Dr. Lawrence Nene Tetteh, President/Founder of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, London, and guest preacher whose message was entitled, ‘Through It All,’ advised KKD that he should never attempt to defend himself about the challenges he went through.

According to him, what the showbiz icon went through was as a result of his lifestyle and should not blame the devil for that, noting that it was not too late for the broadcaster to take Christ as his Lord and Saviour and learn to trust in God.

‘You have to mess up to get mercy from God. KKD, if only you will be wise, this would be a turning point,’ he stated.

Dr. Tetteh believed KKD went wayward without paying attention to God but the Lord has a way of arresting people, adding that ‘Whatever KKD went through he needed it.’

He said the public should take cues from what are going on in people’s lives to shape theirs.
