Manchester City are preparing a £6m bid to sign Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman from Augsburg, according to the Sun newspaper.
The dethroned English champions have targeted the left-back as one of their summer targets in a reported austerity transfer drive.
City are however unlikely to secure the services of the Ghanaian with Augsburg demanding not less than 25m Euros for their consistent performer.
Baba Rahman has been a subject of intense transfer talks due to his exploits since arriving in Europe in 2012.
He first joined Greuther Furth but later moved to Augsburg last summer.
Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Roma have all been reported as interested in signing the Ghana international.
But Augsburg’s demands appear to be wading off these interests.
